La Comisión tiene que aceptar el plan de recuperación nacional para conceder los fondos Next Generation EU
La Comisión Europea ha pedido a los Estados Miembros más ambición en las reformas, los objetivos y los sistemas de control contra la corrupción. También ha insistido en que los fondos de recuperación económica, Next Generation EU, deben servir para superar la recesión y transformar las economías.
Según el Vicepresidente Ejecutivo de la Comisión Europea, Valdis Dombrovskis, los sistemas de control son “vitales” para la economía de los Estados, y “estaremos vigilando muy de cerca durante las próximas semanas y meses”.
España será el segundo país de la Unión Europea que recibirá mayores beneficios de los fondos Next Generation EU, después de Italia. Pero la Comisión deberá aprobar el plan nacional de recuperación con el que el gobierno de España desbloqueará los 140.000 millones de ayuda europea. El Gobierno enviará este mes su plan nacional de inversiones y reformas a la Comisión, que debería aprobarlo en un plazo máximo de tres meses.
El Gobierno tendrá que explicar a Bruselas en su plan nacional qué mecanismos aplicará, y el Ejecutivo comunitario evaluará si ofrecen garantías «suficientes».
Si Bruselas detecta deficiencias en el sistema de control nacional, puede pedir un plan de acción al Estado miembro para corregirlas de manera urgente. El reglamento del mecanismo estipula que el control de la Comisión a posteriori sobre todo se centrará en el cumplimiento de objetivos.
