Los fondos deben ser el embrión de una verdadera unión fiscal
El director general de estadística y economía del Banco de España, Oscar Arce, advierte de que lo importante que es el bueno uso de los fondos europeos de recuperación y transformación de los efectos del COIVD-19, Next Generation EU, para lograr la unión fiscal.
«Nos la jugamos con su buena utilización, la apuesta europea por este fondo no tiene precedentes, moviliza mucho dinero y tiene que salir bien», ha indicado Arce en una mesa redonda organizada por la Asociación Española de Banca (AEB).
En su opinión, deben convertirse en el embrión de una verdadera capacidad fiscal común, de modo que el proyecto europeo avance de forma positiva. «Si no, se corre el riesgo de que la aspiración verdadera de la unión fiscal entre en vía lenta o, directamente, muera», ha dicho. En cualquier caso, ha apostado por la calidad de los proyectos y por ser «muy cuidadosos y rigurosos» en la selección de los mismos.
Poner el foco en las reformas
Arce considera que España debe poner el foco de los fondos Next Generation EU en las reformas estructurales. Además, de tratar de acabar con la dualidad del mercado de trabajo. También recuerda que no solo sirven para mejorar la eficiencia económica, deben centrarse en la justicia social y ayudar a los más afectados de esta crisis, sobre todo, los jóvenes, mujeres e inmigrantes.
